EPS Welcomes Additional Doctor to the Practice!
It is a season of rejuvenation after the long hot summer and vacation days off. At EPS we have an additional reason to feel revitalized – a new optometrist has joined the practice! Dr. Prachi Pathak comes to us with a lot of experience including treating children from 4 years old and up. As the child in your life returns to school why not make an appointment with Dr. Pathak and make sure their eyesight is in tune with the season.
That being said, you probably would like to know more about Dr. Pathak. First of all, she is a Delaware native and we are proud to be adding her to our team. She earned her degree as Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry in Boston (May 2010) and before that a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Delaware (May 2005). Her optometric training included internships at Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martha Elliot Health Center (Children’s Hospital of Boston), Special Populations Rotation and Atlanta Vision Clinic. In keeping with these internships, Dr. Pathak experienced special emphasis on diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy as well as glaucoma management. She also experienced clinic days in low vision, contact lens, and pediatrics. Her rotation with special populations exposed her to a variety of sub-specialties such as low vision, vision therapy, contact lens, pediatrics and binocular vision.
Dr. Pathak has a lot of experience with contact lenses and glasses and is available for appointments now.
A unique part of Dr. Pathak’s background is that she performs Classical Indian Dance. Now that would be a conversation opener!
Again, EPS is pleased to welcome Dr. Pathak to the practice! To schedule an appointment with her just call 302-652-3353.
