New Medicare Card Coming to Your Mail Box Soon! By Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.A. on February 05, 2018

Did you know that all Medicare recipients will receive a new card in 2018?  When comparing the current red/white/blue card with the new one, there are two significant differences.

First, and very important, your social security number is no longer used as your ID number.  With identity theft so prevalent, the safeguarding of your social security number is priority and the government is recognizing that by changing your ID number.  Another difference is the use of both English and Spanish on the card.  The mailings will begin in April and will be sent in phases according to geographic location

Don’t forget to provide EPS (as well as your other providers) with your new ID numbers.  This will help insure that claims will be processed more smoothly.

Keep an eye on that mail!
